Lake Garda and the village of Sirmione

SIRMIONE:
(full day trip)

Departure from the hotel, by private coach, towards Sirmione, a charming village on the shores of Lake Garda, defined by the Latin poet Catullo as “The Pearl of Lake Garda”. Free time to walk around and discover the village’s cobbled lanes, castle, thermal baths and relaxing little beaches.  The historic centre is accessed through the castle walls, some of the best preserved in Italy.  The castle can only be visited externally, but it is absolutely worthwhile enjoying its birds-eye view of Lake Garda. The entrance ticket costs €6.00.

You can then reach the pier on foot and take a motor boat tour of the surrounding area.

In the late afternoon we will depart for Piacenza.
