Mantua and sailing along the Mincio amidst its lotus flowers:

Departure from the hotel by private coach (time to be determined). On arrival in Mantua, you will be taken on a guided tour of the historical centre, visiting the exterior of the Doge’s Palace and the interior of the majestic Cathedral on Piazza Sordello. In Piazza delle Erbe you will then be able to admire the municipal buildings, the Clock Tower, the Rotonda di San Lorenzo, and the majestic Basilica of Sant’Andrea. Lunch: free time in the city centre.

In the afternoon, you will board the ferry for a 1-hour cruise through unspoiled nature along the Mincio River’s Lower Lake, where you can admire the classic architecture of the city of the Gonzagas mirrored in the lake waters. You will then proceed through the typical flora and fauna of the wetland protected by the Parco del Mincio nature reserve, with its white and yellow water lilies and its water chestnuts. Return to the hotel in the evening.
